Saturday Brunch Organ Recital:

Rolf Müller

Distinguished organist, Rolf Müller of Altenberg Cathedral in Germany, gives the second recital in our brand-new Saturday Brunch Series.

The series of organ proms brings leading concert organists from across Europe to the Temple Church to perform on its famous organ. A special opportunity to step into the tranquility of the Temple at the weekend and experience this magnificent instrument in the hands of celebrated international recitalists not often heard in the UK.

Rolf Müller's beautifully-crafted programme includes the monumental Passacaglia in C Minor by JS Bach and his sunny Concerto in C Major, plus splendid arrangements of orchestral works by Felix Mendelssohn. It culminates with August Gottfried Ritter's virtuosic 3rd Sonata, dedicated to Liszt.

Mendelssohn: March in D Major Op 108 (arr. Best)
Bach: Concerto in C Major BWV 595
Bach: Passacaglia in C Minor BWV 582
Renner jnr: Canzone (from Organ Suite No 1 Op 56)
Mendelssohn: Overture to St Paul (arr. Best)
Ritter: Sonata No 3 in A Minor Op 23

The performance lasts approximately 60 minutes (without interval).
