The origins of the Temple Church date back to the late 12th century when it was built by the Knights Templar and, as such, it is one of the oldest and most beautiful churches in London. Today it is as well known for its music as for its history and provides a remarkable acoustic and calming atmosphere in which to enjoy our concerts.
The Temple Church is located in Church Court and can be accessed directly from Inner Temple Lane (which joins Fleet Street opposite Chancery Lane); from Tudor Street turn right when you enter The Temple, cross the car park diagonally and go through the covered passage next to the Library; from Victoria Embankment, enter The Temple on Middle Temple Lane, pass Middle Temple Hall and turn right through a covered passage into Pump Court.
