Legacies
Thank you for considering leaving a gift to the Temple Music Foundation in your Will. It is only with the generous support of individuals that we are able to undertake our exciting and ambitious series of concerts. A legacy gift will play an important and vital role in supporting our programme in the years ahead.
The process is simple and straightforward, but do take advice before proceeding. We recommend using a solicitor to ensure your Will is legal and valid. If you have already written a Will, you can make a Note of Amendment or a Codicil.
To make sure the money goes to the right place please include details: The Temple Music Foundation, 1 Inner Temple Lane, London EC4Y 1AF. Registered Charity Number: 1095141.
Making an unrestricted gift will support our core operating costs. However, if you want your gift to support a specific aspect of our work, please contact us to find out and discuss the available options.
There are three main types of gift you can leave us in your Will, shown below. For inheritance tax purposes, because The Temple Music Foundation is a registered charity, any donation you make will be deducted from your estate prior to inheritance tax being calculated.
- A specified sum of money, known as a ‘pecuniary gift’.
- Assets, such as stocks and shares, may be gifted in a Will. Asset gifts to charities are Inheritance Tax exempt.
- A share of your estate, known as a ‘residuary gift’.
