Autumn & Winter season announcement

Autumn & Winter season announcement

Our programme for September 2024 - February 2025

We open the new legal year with 17 exceptional concerts! During a packed six months, we host two world premieres (new works by Sir James MacMillan and Cecilia McDowell), put on our first performance in the Library of Middle Temple, mount a vibrant Winter Festival in the Temple Church, and welcome back Stile Antico - to mark the quincentenary of one of the greatest composers of the Renaissance, Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina.

Other highlights of the season include a performance by Gabrieli of Solomon in Inner Temple Hall, The Sixteen in Monteverdi Vespers, and Mark Padmore & Julius Drake in Winterreise

Exciting new talent on the roster includes Brazilian guitarist Plínio Fernandes, who gives a solo recital in the new Lecture Theatre of Inner Temple.  Also making their debuts in the series are outstanding chamber ensembles, the Sacconi Quartet and Onyx Brass. In addition to the usual array of international organ recitals, choral music and song, we give the first public showcase of the innovative Musical Lives research project taking place at King's College London. The project takes us to the heart of song, and back to the origins of this ancient place - the Knights Templar, and that most famous knight, William Marshal!

Public booking opens at 8.30am on Tuesday 23rd July 2024.
