World premieres at the Temple

Contemporary music alert!

Our Autumn/Winter seasons includes two world premieres:

On 8th October, Richard Watkins & Julius Drake give the first performance of a new work for french horn & piano by Sir James MacMillan. More information here.

On 19th November, the Bar Choral Society celebrates its 10th birthday in a concert including a piece written for the occasion by Cecelia McDowall: A Song for St Cecilia. The text is by poet Kate Wakeling. More information here.

The season also includes the UK premiere of a new work by Cheryl Frances-Hoad, commissioned for Stile Antico's programme on 30th January, which marks the 500th anniversary of Palestrina. More information here.

There is plenty more new music in the music in the mix including two pieces by Roxanna Panufnik in the Winter Festival!
